Teacher
Excellence Award Nomination Process
There’s still time
for parents, students, teachers, and community members to
nominate deserving teachers for Teacher Excellence awards this
year.
For the fifth
consecutive year, the Teacher Excellence Center will recognize
and reward excellence in education among southwestern
Pennsylvania’s teachers.
The nomination
deadline is December 31. The top 100 teachers will be recognized
at the annual Celebration of Teaching event on April 24. That
night, seven teachers will be announced as Teachers of
Excellence and their schools will each receive a $2,500 grant.
By participating in
this program, PTSD district can promote its high standards and
exemplary educators. Participation also allows our district the
opportunity to receive one of the $2,500 cash grants awarded to
the top-scoring honorees.
Nomination forms are
available in all school offices across the district or on the
Teacher Excellence Center’s Web site: www.teacherpa.com. You
may also contact the Teacher Excellence Center at 412-440-0514
to request a nomination form. The deadline to submit completed
forms is December 31.
